The ASLAN Dusted Dryapply EL 200 is a high-quality self-adhesive glass decoration film with an elegant "dusted glass" effect, specially designed for dry application (dry-apply) on glass and other transparent surfaces. This film combines a professional look with quick installation thanks to ASLAN's Dryapply technology - ideal for applications in interiors and exteriors where both privacy and light transmission are important.
Key features.
For the sign and visual communication sector, glass surfaces are a major opportunity - think storefronts, office spaces, partitions, bathrooms or other transparent elements. With the ASLAN Dusted Dryapply EL 200, you can offer customers an aesthetically high-quality solution: a film that gives the glass a sandblast look, allows light to pass through but still creates visibility or privacy. Thanks to its cast quality (polymeric PVC) and a thickness of approximately 80 µm, the film combines flexibility, stability and long-life performance.
Dryapply technology makes the difference in ease of installation: air channels allow large areas to be applied quickly and without water or many air inclusions, for example. That means less time on site, fewer mistakes and therefore lower installation costs. For your end customers, this means a professional result that is achieved faster - and for Dimix, it means offering high-quality solutions that add value for your customers.
The film is composed of a molded (polymeric) vinyl film especially suited for glass. The finish is the "dusted glass" effect: finely textured, translucent (~97% transmission measured) and provides an elegant appearance that looks both modern and timeless. Thanks to the Dryapply technology, very fine air channels have been incorporated into the structure of the adhesive layer, allowing assembly to take place dry, repositioning is possible during assembly, and blows can be more easily eliminated.
Technical: the film has a pressure-sensitive polyacrylate adhesive that is semi-permanent. Dimensional stability is good - after 48 h at 70 °C, the maximum shrinkage is about -0.45 % (≈ -0.45 mm per 100 mm). The minimum application temperature is about 15 °C, and the service range is from -30 °C to +80 °C. The film is suitable for both indoor and outdoor application - outdoor service life is specified up to approximately 7 years when fixed vertically in central European climates.
The EL 200 film is ideal for applications such as:
For optimal performance, it is important that the substrate (glass) is clean, dry and grease-free before applying the film. Avoid moisture or condensation on the glass surface, especially around windows or in frame profiles where water can accumulate. The application temperature should be at least about 15 °C so that the adhesive adheres well and forms correctly. Avoid installation on surfaces with slope without drainage, or in conditions where water can collect.
Store the roll in closed packaging, at room temperature (≈ 15-25 °C) and relative humidity of about 50-60 % to avoid deformations or pressure points in the roll. After installation, we recommend periodic visual inspection, especially in exterior projects: check edges, corners and connections for loosening or dirt build-up.

Yes, the film is designed for glass surfaces, both flat and slightly inclined. However, it is important that the glass is clean and dry and that application is made at an ambient temperature of at least about +15°C to allow the adhesive to activate properly. In sloping surfaces without adequate drainage, water may accumulate in the profile frame or on the glass itself, which may promote loosening over time. Therefore, in sloping or severe exterior conditions, it is recommended that the edges of the film be properly finished and the location visually inspected on a regular basis.
The Dusted Dryapply EL 200 film is suitable for both indoor and outdoor application. Outdoor life is quoted up to approximately 7 years when installed vertically in a central European climate. However, as with all outdoor films, the actual service life depends on location, sun exposure, dirt, temperature changes and maintenance. In very extreme conditions (such as horizontally exposed roof glass or direct sun), performance may deteriorate sooner.
This film is specifically designed for dry-apply mounting, i.e. without the use of water or wet mounting. Dryapply technology with fine air channels allows fast mounting and easier elimination of air inclusions. For large glass surfaces, this offers a significant installation advantage. Of course, the substrate should be thoroughly cleaned beforehand and installation should be carried out under suitable temperature conditions.
The EL 200 is primarily intended as a glass decoration film with sandblast effect and was usually plotted or applied as such. The transmission of light is approximately 97%, which means a lot of light passes through. For extensive printing or print applications, the 'PrintDusted Dryapply EL 200' or similar series may be more suitable, this film is specifically optimized for print and possibly mirror image mounting.
According to the product data, a standard sizing of 1.26 m wide (1260 mm) and roll length of up to 50 m is common. This makes the film particularly suitable for large glass surfaces or complete shop-fronts without interruption.
The film should be stored in closed original packaging at room temperature (15-25 °C) and relative humidity around 50-60 %. For storage the standard conditions apply as mentioned: roll should be vertical or in special rack to avoid pressure points. Minimum storage period before use is about 3 years from production date. For processing: glass should be clean, dry, grease-free. Avoid installation in condensation or damp surface.
Yes, this film is certified to fire class DIN EN 13501-1 with Euroclass B-s1, d0. This makes the film suitable for application in public areas such as hotels, offices, banks or hospitals where fire safety standards apply.
With a light transmission of about 97%, the film retains much of the daylight, keeping the room bright and open. At the same time, the "dusted glass" effect provides sufficient diffusion and privacy: contours are visible, but details are blurred. This makes it suitable for storefronts, office spaces and consultation areas.
If the visual effect is more in the direction of classic sandblasted glass (etched surface) or a printed or color accent is desired, the "Etched Dryapply EL 300" or "PrintDusted Dryapply DFL 200" may be a better fit. Instead, the EL 200 offers the neutral sandblast-look base image with high light transmission and uniform appearance.
Through Dimix, clients receive not only the film itself, but also expert advice on mounting, processing, substrate preparation and after-sales support. This reduces risks of mounting errors, increases the quality of the end result and ensures that the project is done tightly & professionally, a value beyond just the material.
