The CWT Premium Series is a high-performance flatbed applicator / worktable built for continuous production in sign, print finishing, and visual communications. Designed to improve accuracy, speed, and operator comfort while handling large sheet sizes and a variety of substrate types.
Key Features
Most Premium Series models support substrate thickness up to ~70 mm (≈ 2.7-2.8 in). The bed design (glass + cutting mat) helps protect both the media and the table. For very thick rigid panels, ensure you load them carefully and that your roll / glide beam holders are appropriately adjusted. Also, keeping the mat in good condition and replacing once worn is important to avoid damage or uneven finish.
Standard Premium models often have fixed or manually adjustable height (multiple fixed positions). There are upgrade kits / Platinum or Evolution variants that include electric height adjustment columns. LED lighting, roll holders and accessories further improve ergonomics. These features help reduce operator fatigue, enable better positioning, and improve accuracy.
Key maintenance tasks include keeping the cutting mat clean and replacing it when it is heavily worn; cleaning the tempered glass bed; ensuring glide beams / rollers are free of debris; checking roll holders and rollers; ensuring compressed air and optional electronic lift components are functioning well; regular checks of leveling feet or wheels. Most components are built heavy-duty and require minimal maintenance beyond cleaning and occasional part replacement.
Yes, some functions (depending on model) require compressed air—usually in the range of 6-8 bar. If you choose models or accessories with electrical height adjustment, ensure stable power supply as per your region (230 V or 120 V depending). LED lighting and optional extras may add slight demands. Ensure your workshop has the required space, power, and air supply for optimal operation.
The flatbed applicator (Premium Series) offers better control, less waste, more consistent finish (less bubble / alignment issues) when applying laminates, mounting media or transfer tape, especially on stiff substrates. It also speeds up the process significantly: users often report 50-75% time savings for mounting/laminating jobs compared to older front-loading or manual methods.
The table includes tempered safety glass to protect from breakage, self-healing mats to reduce risk during cutting, sturdy construction and leveling/wheels for stability. Optional LED illumination improves visibility. Also, ergonomically designed heights reduce strain. As with any equipment, safe handling (especially of rigid substrates) is essential.
Standard warranty for many Premium models is 3 years. Electrical components (if present) may have specific warranty conditions. Being built with durable materials and Swedish manufacturing, if properly maintained, these tables tend to serve many years—often well beyond the warranty period. Replacement mats, accessory parts may be needed over time.
Essential accessories include the cutting/glass bed, roll holder/glide beam, side pockets or storage for efficient workflow. Optional but highly useful are LED illumination, roll cradle or table top roll holders, electronic height adjustment, lower roll holders, extra glide beam or cutting tracks. Depending on your workflow, investing in accessories can improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
The Premium Series is modular and often shipped in compact or “flat pack” form to reduce volume and cost. Many models can be moved through standard doors when appropriately packaged. Setup doesn’t generally require special skilled technicians—assembly is designed for ease. If you have the optional electric lifting or complicated accessories, there may be additional setup steps. Also consider the space required for roll holders, access on all sides, and safety zones.
Choosing the right size depends on the largest substrate or media you’ll frequently use. If you are working with large rigid boards or oversized panels, you’ll need a model with longer length and width (e.g., 1747, 2147 in the Premium series). If your work is mostly smaller sheets or vinyl rolls, something like the 1630 or 1640 might suffice. Also consider space available in your workshop, door sizes, and handling/transport within your facility. The Premium Series offers a variety of sizes so that you can match working area to your workflow.
